Blame

by Emily Wacker   Jul 1, 2016

When did you feel the need to distance me,
from everything- everything you saw,
everything you felt I wasn't worthy of?

The words " I don't blame you" are commonly said,
well...I can tell you right now that I blame you.

I blame you for every bruise you left on my otherwise clear skin.

I blame you for every tear I shed when you made me feel worthless.

I blame every bit of anxiety I gained while you were near, on you.

You made me see the awful things that can lurk if you stare into the darkness for too long.

I'm sorry that no one could save you.

Very beautiful piece about abuse. I'm sorry it happened to you. If you ever need help everyone in the group is ready with open ears :)

Thank you very very much, though I personally was not abused just what was on my mind I guess. Thank you none the less for the support. :)
