For you

by MyNewMoon   Feb 8, 2008

If my heart were to Sing a song of the truth
Would you hear it,
would you wonder,
or would you run,
gone forever beyond the tumult of the waterfall of farce feelings
The roses wilt and die
as i do in this place upon the clouds
this paradise in theory but hell to me
Its beauty, graceful, and enduring
Same as the mask i wear to hide myself
the pain, the hurt, the feelings i show naught to anyone
I lay under the evergreen trees as the cold wind blows
Alerting me to naught but the peace of the place
The trickling stream moves past me
all forgotten for now
I sleep
I dream
I wish
I wish for a place where feelings were known
where i wouldn't have to hide,
I wish for a life where pain is a stranger
But as I wake and slowly rise,
I realize that nothing has changed
Nothing will change
Such a place does not exist
The time for feelings has passed
the harsh facts of reality dawn upon the horizon
where i go from her i know not
but the facts are,
its over
its done
We might have been but now the chance is gone
but the regret will never leave my soul
Gone are those blissful days and,
while my mind lingers,
I must, as always, press on
