Grandpa

by Danielle Riddle   May 18, 2004

Faith is daring the soul
To go beyond what the eyes can see
And all you have ever had
Is undying faith in me

How can I thank you
What can I say
For being by my side
And making me who I am today

Through my weakest and strongest
You were always there
No matter what had happened
You always seemed to care

He is someone I laugh with
And with me he cries
My grandpa is
My favorite guy

He always respects me
And he loves me too
And now its my turn
To say "I love you"

When there is something wrong
I know I can turn to you
Knowing deep inside of me
That you will help me through

All through the day
And then through the night
Your always there assuring me
That every things alright

From the day that I was born
Until the day that I die
You'll always be the
Number one guy

Your always there
Telling me I'm perfect
I cherish the things you give and tell me
Because I know its worth it

You picked me up
when I was alone
I was fending for myself
And almost on my own

I never thought that
I'd experience depression
But when I did
You had an understanding expression

When something goes wrong
And you have a blush of shame
Its all turns out that
You love me just the same

I have no idea
What I could do
To ever possibly
Make it up to you

But there's one thing
That I do know
And it is that
I love you so
