Theres Blood on the floor

by Danielle Riddle   Dec 14, 2004

There's blood on the floor
And the baby is crying
My heart was taken captive
My restless body is slowly dying

I have a date with depression
But it arrived to early you see
For I am only 10 years old
I'm still developing my dreams

I was given a responsibility
Much to big for my age
It locked me away from the world
I live my life within this cage

Praying for a way out
But this life is all I know
If my heart was ever freed
It wouldn't know where to go

Would it fly to the right things
My heart has now been taught
Or would if lead me to the bad things
That my heart has already fought
