God sent me an angel

God sent me an angel
who watched me through the night
he stayed up with me and talked
through the morning's light

i didn't know him
he knew me
understood all i said
and he just let me be

so i pray to my God in Heaven
for sending me this boy
who truly loves and cares for me
and is never ever coy
