Queen of nothing

by StandStill   Feb 16, 2008

The queen of nothing has not a heart of gold
but one of cold
winter lives within her
the cats walk by and hiss, not pur
no beauty does she radiate
within her lives your fate
the king of her heart is the prince of her past

the queen of nothing holds so many hearts
in her hands
crush them
she can
the joker, he plays her
but he is not her only master
and she is the master of nothing

the queen of nothing bites her bleeding lips
tries not to cut her fingertips
no pain does she feel
no happiness to bring about anything real
there is nothing in her heart

the queen of nothing grabs all she can
but holds nothing in her hands
time trickles out of her tears
running down her face with her fears

the queen of nothing rolls no dice
she never plays nice
she has a shoulder cold as ice
her hair falls into her face
a long time ago she gave up the race
finds herself a disgrace
she knows it
she is the queen of nothing
