Self-elimination

Words escape me at this moment

the travels i have seen are frozen

no one around to hear the scream

but there's no scream to hear at all.

lifeless attempts at whatever is near

you speak in a way that only you can hear

everything is falling through the seams

but there's no seams through which to fall.

barely breathing so i can't hear you

your painted words i cannot see through

the ending of what i can't believe

but i never believed in it at all.

the beginning was not meant to begin

just a symbolic reference that meets the end

i guess at this point, I'm supposed to grieve

but there's no grief within me at all

the one left standing with no defense

breathing even without your existence

were you supposed to mean that much to me?

because you didn't mean anything at all.

you will hear these words; are they meant for you?

if you have to ask; what did YOU do?

you may think you did something wrong....

but this has nothing to do with you at all.....

all can move on, regardless of the past

learning from what we thought might last

keeping in mind that nothing lasts long

that's if nothing was ever anything at all.
