Thine self so relentless

by tiffyKat   Feb 18, 2008

Too many times do we question our truths

as we walk asleep numbing our youth

until i see unlike me and you see unlike you

deep is this well; not black, but blue

deeper the dig-deeper the view

something like tangled in that maze that we drew

sense of no chance; nothing more can be true

stand only to fall; as the worth bids ado

so blind these eyes see but to wrongs of so few

inside? all the strength; but it's guilt that protrudes

once was unbroken- the best lie we both knew

expectations so empty to be ripped through and through

little did i nor little did you

but opportunity does breathe and we know what we knew

still with unhindered grip and blood dripping from you

we watch ourselves drown as what we allowed grew

blind, we pretend, to let comfort intrude

and now betrayal proceeds to continue pursuit

here now a new past to run from and run to

just to bury each next with each next we pursue

one grave for each growth with more yet to accrue

until legs that stiffen are foundation of you

and lessons are learned and thoughts are thought through

when time needs to be slowed to let this knot loose

let the heart to unwind and the colors to true

let your friends to reach in when they reach in for you

through this wall now that's built of the once abyss blue

set free of yourself to allow the conclude

fall in love with a day like you never could do

take it all in but now do it for you

only then is aware of a happiness true

but not before realizing that we know what we knew
