Soldiers

Soldiers are mistreated
and lacking of their cause
they want to fight for our country
but the leadership is gone
they serve long terms in Iraq
as frighting dreams all come back
they can't handle and they deconstruct

because war has left a cut
crying in pain I hear from the wounded
now the ones that were cool are all gone
instead you have a little man (woman)
with their spirit gone
it's hard but they keep going on

because they are trained to not run
they are trained to not seek help in times of need
which leads to no way to let their emotions free
but I am here I'm here to speak

to all these soldiers that are in need
it can be rough i understand
and i appreciate you fighting for our land
you our loved by many more
so please find you spirits and let them sore
