Her Pain

by J Witherow   Feb 20, 2008

Dressed in all black
She notices people beginning to stare
She turns her back and acts as if she doesn't care

They never notice the single tear fall from her eye
Asking herself constantly "why?"
Why do they stare?
Why do they snicker?
Do they have to care
She walks on her stride a little quicker
She hears talking
She wonders who it's about
She continues walking
Thinking it's about her...no doubt
Lockers slam, Bells ring
She walks on noticing nothing
The whispers begin to soften her thick brick walls
She just wishes she could disappear from these halls
Walking home the time has elapsed
At her door she just collapsed
She goes to her room, begins to unpack...
Crying all the while the girl in black.
