Desires of Malice

by Elapsed   Feb 21, 2008

Wind swept pines bend, to the sounds of the coming night
A crescent pendant sprinkles an eerie mystical glow
Upon an abundant forest of charred tree stumps
Blackened earth in the morn of heartless men

Licking flames reach out to touch the faces of thorns
While hellish cries rush out to fill the night skies
Were burning cities are consumed
In blazing incandescent heat

As the souls of men are filled by pleasurable lies
Desires of malice taunt the wings of liberty
Relinquishing the freedom of hope
Lying to rest thoughts of a peaceful death

What a deep and intense piece you have penned here. The imagery is awesome.

As the souls of men are filled by pleasurable lies
Desires of malice taunt the wings of liberty
    Relinquishing the freedom of hope
Lying to rest thoughts of a peaceful death

    Love your ending.
    Great job!
