Lifefriend

by ryan   May 19, 2004

How do I extrapolate on the kid
Who became a friend
Who became a brother
Who is now my other half?
What words depict
The bonds we have forged
through our adventures and fights,
our blood and sweat mingling
for causes Noble and lowly.
I've wounded you, embarrassed you, exploited you, cursed you, sworn off spending time with you, and you've done the same for me,
But petty squabbles can't shake
The bedrock our friendship is rooted in.
I learn so much from you,
Gain so much from being with you,
And, I hope, teach you a thing or two along the way.
Yes, I've called you stupid, idiot, child, psycho, a**hole, but I am prouder than I can express
To be able to call you my friend.
A loyalty purchased in blood,
And broken by no mortal means,
You are my Lifefriend.
So get over it buddy
