Promises Turned Into Lies

by A Phoenyx in Flight   Feb 21, 2008

Your promises turned into lies.
As I smelt the beer on your breathe.
As I tasted the booze in your kiss.

You promised me you would never drink again.
But at the party you could not resist.
You drank yourself drunk.

I thought you had changed.
I thought you had more strength then that.
But I was clearly wrong.

You begged me not to go.
I could not say no.
I will give you just one more chance.

Please don't make me regret it.
Please don't make the same mistake you did before.
Because this time I will not go back to you.
