The pain and burden of a hardened heart
the feeling of resentment after its been torn apart
the hurt that drives you to an extreme
where your only haven is what you can dream
and even that begins to fade
it comes to where you live off your fantasies
but they become as dark as the heart within
what is left that we can do
am i alone or is this with you
is the pain eating you through
