Waltzing the Tango

by Lilly   Feb 23, 2008

Your deaf in the eyes
and blind in the mouth
No taste in your ideas
and lack an ear for sound

Your arms try to walk
while your legs dangle down
Playing piano with your feet
while your nose mimes a frown

I don't have to raise my voice
for you to hear my words
I stare at your empty soul
and all i can do
is wish for more

Your heart longs for what
it does not deserve
My mind hungers real food
that you do not serve

Your mind pumps the blood
while your heart makes you breath
Your spine is your smile
while your voice goes bleak

I don't have to stand by
for your petty needs
I stare at your mindless logic
and all i can do
is wish for more

My eyes see a green sky
I smell a fresh picked cake
My ears hear the lions squeak
I see the mice swim in the lake

I bounce to the beat
of a four part waltz
you shake to a rhythm
of the 3 beat tango

I don't understand
why i feel the race
I stare at myself
and all i can do
is say... yes
