The Past The Love The Memories

by Alexandra Jade Brewer   Feb 24, 2008

Where did it go?
When did it pass?
Why did you leave so soon?

I sit here sadly
Lonely and lost
The weeks
The faded memory

'Do not cry
Do not be sad
The week will come and go'

I can't
I wont
The strength is gone
One week becomes to long
I need your arms
Your love
your kiss
To keep me smiling on

I need your eyes
The door to my world
The escape
The release from pain

Your feel
Your touch
The soft of your skin
Beneath my finger tips

To hear your voice
Speak my name
Tease and taunt
Within your eyes
The love resides

Hold me tight
Push me down
Up against the wall
Kiss me with passion
Lose all your thoughts
That's what this week became

The past
The love
The memories

This poem was alright, I found it to be lacking structure and at times really took away from the poem and the rythme that should have been there.

I didn't mind reading it and found that it was alright, but the structure really didn't click for me.
