I Know*

by Paige Lea   Feb 24, 2008

The noises around me drive me insane
The crying, the laughter, the love and the pain
I hear everything through these two ears of mine
I hear what you don't - I don't mean to whine:
I hear your anger, the madness the hate
I hear your devastation, the sadness you create
I hear your love, your longing, your admiration
I hear your fear, your screams - it blocks your concentration
I listen to everything and I know what you feel
But you tell me a lie, and not what is real
I can tell when you're lonely and when you need a friend
I know when your happy and I know it will end
These feelings I hear push me over the edge
Oh, how I wish they would stop - shut the door with a wedge
And on top of that, I hear other things too
I hear everything that comes out of you
I hear your compliments, your insults, your truth and your lies
Your whining, your bragging, what you try to disguise
Can't you understand? I'm different from you!
I know what you've done and I know what you'll do
It drives me crazy - that I feel what you feel
You have many wounds that I don't think will heal

This one was great. I dont know why someone put 4/5 because clearly they didn't understand what the poem was about. I think it should be a 5/5. Very good.
