Scarlet letter

by Megg   Feb 25, 2008

I walk through those big intimidating doors
suppose to be filled with love
a place of forgiveness
i pretend i don't notice
they share the same arrogant look
like father like son
they know i know
i pretend it doesn't bother me
i turn to try and ignore
but i can feel there eyes
like daggers repeatedly stabbing
i smile and make small talk
my heart breaks
i know with my actions I've hurt others
please listen to my words
there sincere and true
i hurt
i love too
i didn't mean to be the snake
i didn't mean to make a mistake
I'm not the perfect Innocent girl
you know he deserves
but I'm what he wants
you say he's not becoming the man he should be
what about the man he wants to be
he's strong and honest
he's kind and loyal
he talks to god and listens too
tell me thats not a great man
