Never grow up

by Megg   Mar 20, 2010

Keep singing
keep singing
don't let the tune stop
don't start screaming
you wont escape like that
my hands shake
and my anger boils
i run until my body aches
i wont feel the guilt
I'll drown out the tears with a song
he's gonna leave
and I'll be all alone
they wont love me
phrases i wont let myself hear
bubbles, pink and the basement of my youth
are the only things i let follow through
a best friend that would never leave
nail polish makeup and pretty clothes
bike riding roller blading and making noise
dancing in the rain
and basketball games
playing in the street
and dirt covered feet
i wont face this fact
leave me alone is what i sing
i will never grow up
not Even for you
