Choke and Quiver

When somethings wrong
trust me I want to tell you
But not always are you there
so don't you say that I keep to myself
for that, that would be a lie

I sometimes want to talk to you
actually ever day I wish
to be in your company
to hear your condolences
and every time I'm upset it's made harder if I'm alone

You're the only one I want to talk to
one of the only I really trust
you may be hard to talk to
but you listen and speak the truth
But it seems to me that you've lost interest

I know I'm probably being ignorant
but you ask of me, implore me to never lie
I need to see your smiling face
and I need for you to speak to me
for my life to be great at least once a day

And every time you turn to someone else
every time you ignore me and decide on someone else
I choke and quiver a part of me dies
so now you know how I've been feeling
and maybe now you'll find your voice.
