Remember when

by barbara   Mar 1, 2008

A grandma and grandpa sat poised on a porch
as in love as when they first met
grandma looked over and said darling of course
here's something you didn't forget

grandma looked with that same weary smile
and said remember when we first started out?
you told me you loved me and i blushed like a child
and then you kissed me in a way I'll never forget

catching the hint grandpa leaned over
and kissed grandma in just that way
he said remember i'll love you always and forever
that same old kiss won't go away

with a smile so wry grandma spoke up once more
and said remember when we were young?
you used to nibble on my ear and i'd fall to the floor
weren't those old days so much fun?

grandpa grabbed his teeth and put them in
grandma leaned over for a kiss
grandpa noticed they were the trick teeth again
as he bit her she said i hate when the kids do this!
