A higher power

by MorbidCupcake   Mar 6, 2008

With spirit soaking deep down into her pores
She denies his trust
Deep down, her mind is made up
He isn't there
And she refuses to pretend like them
How can they see him, hear him, feel his presence?
Has he left her behind?
She is no different than them
No extra sins to purify
But yet it's silent
There is no hand reaching out for her safety
Nothing to rid the pain she keeps inside
So how can she speak to the clouds
And feel safe in his arms?
