Starshines

by Ares   Mar 7, 2008

See what you have become,
strange and unaware,
a blindfold across your eyes,
and I feel that you have come to pass,
why can't you see,
the world needs you desperately,
and I know,
that seven stars must shine,
before we meet again.

Hope is fading everyday.

Hide and they will realize,
you were nothing but a dream,
a dream to take away our pain,
but I feel that you cannot be dead,
why can't you be,
you need to set me free,
and I know,
that they will chase you down,
before we meet again.

Hope is fading everyday.

I like this a whole lot. I like your choice of words. What I like about this is that hope, dreams, and ambition is fading and it seems like no one is catching the falling stars and trying to keep them is the sky. This is an excellent poem and I like the concept.
