Deception (The Sleepers)

by Vlad   Mar 8, 2008

Within the hollow galleries of Time,
While Moonlight, shyly, dares to show us path,
We walk together holding our hands,
Towards imaginary Lands, through an imaginary Night.

Our dream is nothing, but a foolish lie,
That we, somehow, dared to believe,
A pale jester’s mask, meant only to deceive
Our hearts and souls with false but beautiful relief.

We hold our hands and follow moonlit trails,
Lost in a dream, forgotten and concealed;
Our hands hold stronger and our lips unite
As tiny sprites are singing songs of grief.

We lay down in a garden filled with light,
Reflected in the water in our eyes,
Holding each-other in a soft embrace,
While withered flowers whisper fairytales.

Embraced by shadows, traveling on winds,
We hear a symphony of falling tears;
We close our eyes and try to reach our hands,
And hope that this embrace will never end.
