Isolation (The fantastic taste of narcissistic melancholy)

by Vlad   Apr 10, 2009

I will fall asleep in a summer night,
I will hold my breath as the shadows hide,
And within a dream, secret and untrue,
I will sing the song of my love for you.

Let me shape your face from the autumn wind,
Let me hold your hand between falling leaves
Let me feel your breath under singing rain
As our bodies spin in a dance insane.

Let me touch your lips as your close your eyes
While the smile of dawn ends the reign of night
Let me hold you close, for a tender kiss
As your image fades in the morning mist.

Leave a kiss-goodbye sealed within my lips,
Let all words unsaid stay in timeless dreams.
Memories of you, beautiful and vain
Washed away as tears under summer rain.

The title caught my attention and your words kept me reading.

The style, as well as the words you used were wonderfully descriptive, beautiful and used to display a sad topic. Well Done.
