Freeing Her.

by FallingAngel   Mar 8, 2008

I could never make her happy,
Give her what she needed.
I'll let her go now,
and let her find happiness.

Though it won't be with me,
she'll be happy and that's what matters.
To set her free,
to see her happy.

I can't fix it,
make it better.
She's still hurt,
and I'm still crying.

She'll find someone better,
and I'll be happy for her.
Because I'll always love her,
and when you love someone they come first.

Right?

Dedicated to my ex, you'll always be in my heart, and I'm sorry for all the pain I caused.

Whats sadder than to hear a broken heart's misery..I liked how the poem was constructed and the punctuation marks added the intensity of the emotion....You have a very unique way of writin and releasin your feelings..Good Job..

I loved the question at the end because it left me wanting more. The emotions were real and my heart ached while reading this because I could relate. Well done *5/5*

Oooooo I love the ending, completely turned the poem on its head. It's really sweet and selfless and then at the end it leave the reader wondering. Very clever. My favourite stanza was:

    "I can't fix it,
    make it better.
    She's still hurt,
    and I'm still crying."

It's pacey and to the point and just generally awesome.

Another very powerful poem.. i love how you ended it with a "right?" ... it really gets you thinking.. and of course when you love someone they should come first...

she'll be happy and that's what matters.
    To set her free,
    to see her happy.

i love those lines.. it's nice that all you care about is her being happy... more people need to be that way.. nice job wit this poem! keep it up =)
