Threw it all away

What would it be like
to throw it all away
to just sit and cry
waste the day

what would it be like
to bleed out on the floor
to never see sunshine
to feel pain no more

what would it be like
if my head was clear
maybe i'd have priorities
and i'd know what i held dear

but all you can think
is how do you do
all the things your life requires
and still try to be you

and i answer you
in an honest way
"because a while ago,
I threw it all away"

    to ponder on the dark gloomy side of life makes us all sad, yet greatful at the same time. I liked this bit the best -
    what would it be like
    to bleed out on the floor
    to never see sunshine
    to feel pain no more
