High School

Something is wrong with me
Crowded by hundreds of people,
But I feel so very alone.
With my pain on display for everyone to see.
I don't know how to deal
I don't even know what to say
I don't trust anyone, especially me.
Wishing all the wounds would just heal.
Life's not easy or close to fair
People judge you, laugh in your face,
Poke fun for everything, just depress you
None of them know how you feel or even care.
The rest of your heart breaking
You're eyes filled with tears
You're body failing to hold on any longer,
Wishing it wouldn't come to this, cold blood, hands shaking.
No one knows what you go through.
No one believes you're hurting.
If only people knew your life was harder than others.
All because of the show you put on and act to.
Keeping your friends in the dark.
Lying to everyone even yourself.
Flash a smile, fake a laugh,
Never let them see the hurting mark.
Every night you cry yourself to sleep
Making a new design somewhere hidden
Screaming with the pain " just accept me! "
Make more this night, pushing the knife deep.
Now who's the big fool?
Hope you understand what happened, love
I should've listened to you, " don't let em get ya down. "
But I did, so this is goodbye, goodbye

Wow, this was very well-written. And its a great description of high-school in general. The flow was good, the words were powerful, and the concept was brilliant! 5/5
