What Once Was

by Josh   Mar 11, 2008

What If I could take? All the pain I built up and throw it all away, What if I could dream? A perfect reality, what if I could speak? And watch the colors seep through, What if I could bleed? If I could let my life spill onto the shore?

I will tear out my liver and watch it burn,
The Healthy alternative to dying alone,
How can a man live with his own parasite,
After losing the will to sacrifice

What If I could be? Everything that you ever wanted me to be, I if I could see? Be carved into the image of what's expected of me, What if the drugs peak, too soon and what's left is paralyzed, And what if the pipes leak, in the winter what's left,

I will tear out my liver and watch it burn,
The Healthy alternative to dying alone,
How can a man live with his own parasite,
After Losing the will apologize
