Popularity Misconception

by Alyson   Mar 16, 2008

It's always those girls, those guys
who always catch the gleam in your eyes
Everything they do, everyone knows
Everything they wear, always makes them glow.
Following them around is a job for every kid
except those who see right through them
for all that they did
What? may you ask have these people done?
Making innocent people feel like nothing
and that popularity could never be won.
But for me it's not a problem
for i take it as another school complication.
But many would joint their "group"
without hesitation
Why i don't follow them, i really dont know
I guess i just don't feel like following them
everywhere they go.
They have curshed me once
and they are not going to crush me again
For now i can see past them,
knowing they don't even know where to begin
Someday this might change
or at least i sure hope so
before everything sinks
into an all-time low
for an evil is planted inside
that might someday sprout
into something beautiful
after all, isn't that what learning is about?
But, one day they too will face the rejection
becuase this whole thing is just a
