Sin

by Katy Nicholson   Mar 16, 2008

Dawn has come.
I watch the sky.
For the clouds.
Still yet to arrive.

I think deeply.
Of this life.
The metal blade.
Of that one knife.

I still feel it.
Pierce my skin.
This is the pain.
Of my biggest sin.

Now I wait.
For night to fall.
A beautiful creature.
Not here at all.

A vicious soul.
A tear-stained heart.
Born with no beat.
From the very start.

When I lay still.
I don't dare breathe.
And I wait.
For the poison to leave.

I close my eyes.
This is the end.
Of an eternal lie.
Farewell, my friend..
