Midnight Eyes

by She Is My Rain   Mar 19, 2008

Your midnight eyes
Will shine
And rise from the depth
My unconditional love
Yet my own
Will forever be battered
With the hate
Of what I've created

It seems so pointless
Don't you think?
To stare at the sky
And pretend to sink?

But still, here we are
Your midnight eyes
Searching for something in the skies

And my own lifeless eyes
Only wanting to see whats hidden in disguise

These monsters I've made
They never seem to fade
But you always seem to look pass
Pass the damaged blade

What I see in your eyes
Only makes me fall even more
But I cant escape their cries
For my hateful demise

Is it so wrong
To keep a smile?
With the eyes
Of the vile?

These nightmares
I call my own
Seem to ensnare
To their delighted atone

But that doesn't
Bother you?
No not at all
"None of it's true"

It's what you believe
It's what I once new
__________
Not sure if thats how i want to end it yet..
