Empyrean

by She Is My Rain   Jan 27, 2010

I cherished every word you said from the end.
I thought that I could keep you then.
But I’m shattered and my wings are battered.
Unwilling to take flight.
And I remember the feeling of your fingers
Gently holding onto mine.
The stars aligned, the moon
Drifted over the skyline.
It was empyrean in itself.
