Mistakes of the Parents

by Phoenix   Mar 26, 2008

Mom I apologize
for the offenses
I did not commit.
I am the perfect daughter
Although you cannot see.

The perfect daughter of a perfect daughter
the mistakes aren't mine
although I carry the name,
Mistake.

For if Mistake
I am
then mistakes
I will make.

I refuse
to comply
death is my only
escape.

There are already
scars striping
arms and legs.
Not mistakes
Escapes.

Escape
is the name
I give to death.

That is my favorite stanza! I love how you kept repeating the word 'mistake' and then finally saying, they're not mistakes but escapes. That was just *boom* in your face!

I love it! *favorites* and thanks for the amazing comment on mine! ^^ very much appreciated!

    Keep up the great work,

Do you see this? Do you?
This is why you are amazing.
