Living to Die, Dying to Live

by PygmyPuff   Mar 28, 2008

Without a voice the predator approaches.
Naturally, the high continues to raise.
Giggly, giggly, giggly; He laughs her humor.

Closer it comes; the predator lingers.
Naturally, the high continues to raise.
Unintentionally, yet expectingly...the fall.

Reaching out, the predator attacks.
Naturally, the victim falls.
Confessing confessions so secret.

The predator's venom brings her down.
Naturally, she calls for help.
Circling, circling, spiraling out of reach.

Abruptly the predator in successful.
Naturally, the victim falls.
Still alive, but weaker for the next attack.

This is very deep and powerful, greatly written from the beginning to the end. I like the atmosphere that you created along with very vivid descriptions- I could clearly imagine the whole scene. I like the fact that you can write about truly serious topics on such profound and touching way.
I like the flow that you created in this poem, too. Overall, truly greatly done.
