Your Last Touch

by Julie   Mar 30, 2008

A single tear falls from my eyes to my toes,
As I remember the kiss you left on my nose.
My tears, they fall heavy from my eyes,
Like a shooting star falls from the skys.

I can still feel your touch on my skin,
It has been carved deep within.
Even though I had set you free,
I had always wished that you were with me.

Confussing signals you left me with,
I'm begining to think, love is a mith.
You kissed me soft, calm and sweet,
Your russled my hair to make it neat.

Then you told me we shouldn't be,
My heart it tore, in two then three.
I was hurt, deep within,
I had almost commited a terrable sin.

You stopped me then looked in my eye,
You said you still cared, you didnt want me to die.
I caused it myself, my pain my hurt,
I caused myself to feel like dirt.

Yes, this all happened to me.
And all because I set you free.
I'd rather be hurt by that night,
Then to never have had you hold me tight.

    VERY STRONG WRODS!!
I LIKED EVERY SINGLE WORD IN THIS POEM... VERY POWERFUL AND PAINFUL...
I KNOW HOW YOU FEEL... I JUST WENT THROUGH A BREAK-UP AND IT HURT SO MUCH TO LET HIM GO... BUT YOU HAVE TO LET THEM GO EVEN IF YOU LOVE THEM, BECAUSE THERE IS NO POINT EVEN IF YOU HAVE THEM BUT THEY DONT LOVE YOU BACK...
IF YOU LOVE SOMEONE SET THEM FREE
IF THEY COME BACK THEY WERE YOURS IF THEY DONT, THEY NEVER WERE....
    GREAT POEM! 5/5!!!
