Beauty

by MissE   Apr 1, 2008

Beauty, defined as a combination of qualities,
Giving pleasure to the senses,
So then our moment filled with emotion,
Is filled with this and a passionate essence.

You have been there, deep in my mind
As I stood before you in nakedness,
Surrounded by naivety
In a room filled up with my sacredness.

You entered a place with in me,
And I managed to keep you there
For as long as I wanted to have you,
Yet keeping you, wanting again, wouldn't be fair.

As I kept playing with the idea,
Of you being here when I awoke,
But I forgot to ask you,
If you wanted to be here before I spoke.

You have seen all of me,
I was exposed to you like an open heart,
And I watched you look in me,
And step back, like you did from the start.

That moment was so intimate,
As you and I lay drowning in emotions,
But you caught your breath and came up for air.
While I remained in the water, of us, filling with emotions.
I didn't watch you as you left me here,
Only saw your shadow as you left,
And before I could reach for it,
It was gone, and with you a piece of me left.

How beautiful it was experiencing such pleasure,
Being taken to a far away place,
The most amazing story I've ever told,
That's now ended, leaving emptiness in this space.

If you had really looked inside me,
And watched my openness long enough,
You would've seen something buried in there,
My fear: of you and my essence being lost.
