Autumns piano

by resisting reason   Apr 1, 2008

For ten years
the rain as been falling
But through the thunder clap
And lightning crash
I can still hear it calling

The ivory keys
The hammers and strings
Pound so loud
But cant drown out
The song she sings

All around me
The words echo and linger
This melody of pain
Is always the same
From the melancholy singer

And the words she speaks
I know theyre true
They come out calm
In the form of song
Calling you

And calling me
"Closer" she cries
"Come towards the light"
"Its alright"
As the world around us dies

And as I fall asleep
I dream
Of everything I'll miss
Like my first loves last kiss
And she screams

She doesn't sing anymore
Or maybe...
She never did
And I think that this
Is the end

there is no more
