Self Loathing

by monica   Apr 3, 2008

It's hard to look in a mirror
and hate everything you see.
Not on the outside,
But everything that lies beneath
Your twisted sense of humor
Your heart pinned to your sleeve
causing pain and ruining
pulling into deadly sleep.

Called a creature of selfishness
told of wishful death
all you want is to go away
and disappear into nothingness

Hit once or twice by a heartless man
told you are the problem
Hope that you will be able to stand
and live for a better tomorrow

Crying for stareing at your eyes too long
Taking a razor to your skin
cutting though you know its wrong
Listening to the cold silence.

The monster of your nightmare
The demon in your view
Its me. Its only me. My creature of self loathing.
