I'll Take This

by Jenna Rose Kat   Apr 4, 2008

I'll take this pill and forget the pain,
Hot searing scars of the hypocrisy today,
The golden rage builds up inside,
If I were you I'd keep at bay.

The rage slowly festers into a time bomb,
Wish time could make it fade away,
More likely to let me explode misery,
So please just leave my world gray.

I'll take this drink to numb the anger,
And will recollect what I'll soon pay,
Joy, perhaps, maybe blood,
And I blame myself for what I didn't say.

The joy slowly dries up,
But I swear I'll be okay,
The pills and drinks will protect me,
So just let my body decay,
While this world's still not okay.
