The Wanderer

by Kelvin Masi   Apr 4, 2008

To whom it may concern:
I'm not sure why i am writing,
Only that i must write.
My mind is running in circles and has me very confused.

I yearn to be somewhere different in life,
Yet know no direction.
I search for true love and hope for security,
But also must search for my belief of their existence.

Lonely as i may be, is still to be desired.
For fears is aneed, with companionship.

Although these walls are closing in on me,
i cannot force myself to escape.
My fears, as chains, hold me prisoner.

I feel an emptiness within myself.
There is a need to be filled,
Yet i am unable to meet the challenge.

I've been told there's a reason everything,
Yet i can't understand how that can be.
Why must we hurt, our hearts aching for love?
What happened to the beliefs; when did forever become whenever.
