Enough

Take my hand babe and we can conquer
the pain, the hurt, and the sorrow.

We can overcome
our fears, our resentments, and our fatal flaws.

We can soar high above
those dark seas of sorrow that threaten to pull us down.

We can outrun
those perfectly polished demons that threaten to lessen our worth.

We can escape
the clouds of confusion that threaten to envelop us.

And when the day comes
when this all feels like an impossible dream, never to resurface,

Let this poem remind us
that we conquered our demons, our sorrow, our pain together.

We kept each other alive
for so many years, just by whispering a silent i love you, in the others ear.

We listened to one another
and wiped away the tears that we would have drowned in otherwise.

You saved me
and Id like to believe I saved you.

So when we believe we no longer need
the touch of love or the healer of our sorrows,

Let this remind us
that those are the times we need each other the most.

Let us remember that love is
stronger than pride.

Stronger than hurt

Stronger than sorrow

Stronger than death

Take my hand babe; nothing will break us.
