Sinner's Prayer

by stillmomsgirl   Jan 15, 2009

She cries and writhes on the floor
as her reality unfolds
She prays for forgiveness
wanting to believe what she is told

That God's her loving father
who will never let her down
Hoping he can save her
before she starts to drown

She reaches out for comfort
with no one by her side
She holds onto the faith
she thought she'd been denied

No one will see her sorrow
her mask will hide her well
Yet there is still that diety
that watched her as she fell

She believes He left her
in her time of need
Her kind and loving Father
has lied and He's decieved

He ignored every tear
every drop of blood
Her blood became an ocean,
tears became a flood

What had she been thinking
every time that she believed
She is done with her naivete,
done being decieved

This was a really good poem =] I really liked this a lot. I never actually read a faith religion poem before and I'm glad you were my first because I'm thinking about maybe writing one or something in the near future =].

    keep it up.
    keep on writing.
    love always and forever.
