Two-way mirror

by StandStill   Apr 7, 2008

Look in the mirror
what do you see?
I see myself
Plain as can be

But check the mirror
once again
and look through his eyes
look past pain and sin

See a little beauty
a small little spark
a swirl of amazing
lighting up the dark

And look in the mirror
what does he see?
he sees something not good enough
something dying to be free

He hangs his head in shame
because unbeknownst to him
he's such an amazing person
a wonderful friend

I need an anchor
to keep me strong
and he seems to be that one
who helps right the wrong

So I want him to look in the mirror
see through my eyes
this two-way mirror
will show no surprise

Clean off the glass
so he can plainly see
he's but an angel
wings waiting to be freed

*....no arguing*
