This is You.

by Countess of Monte Cristo   Apr 8, 2008

Over the seas of despair and agony
Over the restless swaying of waves..
There will be a calm and unfamiliar sense of strength
Creeping inside your soul

After moments of wanting to give up..
When your soul was screaming but nobody heard..
After the times when you stopped believing in you..
Those times.. will one day seem absurd.

You will wonder and ask ..
How and what led you to discredit yourself..
When all this time..
It is you who still survives.

The words didnt kill you..
The blows didnt too..
The criticism made you stronger..
The hero in you grew.

So who are you?
You seem to have no clue
Are you a good person?
You're too good to be true.

You cried and cried till the tears ran out..
You were hurt many times.. that nothing pains you anymore.
So who are you again?
It's about time you explore.

Quit the doubt
It's about time you know your worth..
Without people like you..
This earth wouldn't be a liveable earth.

You are a hug that is warm..
In the middle of a very cold and chilly day .
You are the forceful storm.
That has annihilated all obstacles from its way.

You are the smell of a fresh earth..
After the rain has washed its dryness away.
You will not let anything bring you down.
You are simply here.. to stay.
