I Wish I Could Get Out of the Habit of Wishing

by Emma   Apr 10, 2008

I wish, when it hurt, I would stop wishing.
For when I wish, it hurts, and when it hurts,
I wish.
While I weep, I wish I could stop crying.
Why do I wish and feel I am dying?
I wish I wasn't left feeling alone.
It hurts when I wish. It never comes true.
I wish I could get a phonecall from you.
Wishes are wasted on my mobile phone.
Not a wishing well in the world will work.
I wish on a star to get back with you.
I don't think we ever learn not to wish.
We always hold hope that wishes come true.
I wish we had never broken apart.
I wish you wouldn't have broken my heart.
I wish I was able to turn time back
And still be with you. I wish it. I WISH it.

Why won't my wish come true?
