Same situation

by StandStill   Apr 11, 2008

You never asked
so I never answered
isn't that how it works?

I didn't scream
I just sit and cry
and you sat back
Reader, watch me die

Funny how this crowded room
is filled with emptiness
shattered little pieces
are all that's left of this mess

White noises scream in silence
and blackness fills my eyes
"I'm fine, of course!"
See this smile? It's a lie

And I did it again today
same situation as the last
broken little pieces
box filled up with glass

Little drops of blood
red is the new black
promises keep getting broken
living for now, not looking back

The world keeps marching on
and I keep standing still
Time keeps melting away
and so does my living will

*..i might be leaving. i haven't quite decided yet...if so, i thought i should have one more poem. sorry it's not amazing*

This is a wonderful, heartwarming poem.

The words were really powerful. I hope the poem isn't based on your life. We all want you living, We, readers don't want you to go. Take the courage to continue writing poems. I hope you the best.
