She Knew

by Prasad Baadkar   Apr 11, 2008

She fought against everyone hard
Even went wild against the vicious world
Battling obstacles always stood by his side
When it really mattered in time
Finally left the world's riches, Married to this man she Loved
Her man by Profession a Chain Smoker, a Crook, a Drunkard
All that she knew & within her heart deep she believed
With time she will get his every flaw attended, changed.

He was her Perfect Romeo & She was His Juliet
The couple never quarreled they never fought
Instead their every weaknesses she turned to strength
To his life she gave a new dimension, a new breath.
Something that ever ate her was a wish to prove the world wrong
Deep within she wanted her husband to take up a decent job
Quit smoking and drinking
Stop stealing.

He promised her each single day that he would do so
still in this endeavor Even though He tried, he lacked
Somewhere He failed and for that innocently lied
She knew it and always forgave him with a pleasant smile
when he told her frankly every night... How he had lied
She was frightened within for time was ticking & she had to act fast
For this flower was soon fading with this test
Only she knew within a Painful Secret she did hide.

Time went by and he found a decent job, smoking he quit
under her tender Love and care he won every war
Drinking still he could not quit
And that truth at this stage she could not bear
Finally one-day truth unfolded on him as a huge surprise
As He learnt his wife was diagnosed with Blood Cancer, she would die
He regained his lost senses worked even hard
Put all Love & Care, poured every last penny earned to get her cured.

Today on her deathbed he sits tucking her in his arms
& At the same time kissing her eyes, her ears, and her tears
Today He was trying hard to bring out broken words
Looking straight into her eyes He somehow spoke out
Darling I don't know You will believe me or not
It was difficult he said, thanks to you Honey, I have Quit Drinks
She knew He had quit drinking & today to her he had not lied
With peace in his arms that day she died.

All he drunk that day were her last tears
He knew how a woman in Love could do wonders
She lived for a cause, for a cause she did die
Only when you try, you realize Nothing is impossible
To inspire only one woman is sufficient to be there beside
With nothing more than her Moral support & true love
With every life comes a forever with happiness & pain alike
& With every forever comes someone special holding a lifetime...

    I love this.
it really shows how much one person can impact on your life so much
makes you realise how much you might be doing for someone without you even knowing it.
    fantastic :]
