After Death

by Melissa   Apr 16, 2008

Getting up,
walking into the lounge room,
you're sitting there, watching TV,
i say good morning,
reply you don't,
"GOOD MORNING MUM!",
silent you remain,
i walk to wards you,
you get up,
walk strait past me as though I'm not there,
i follow you,
you stop outside my room,
"time to get up",
but i am up mum,
stop joking around,
"are you getting up?",
I'm already up,
you've had your fun,
you enter my room,
see, I'm not even there, I'm right here,
i laugh,
you shout for me to get up,
i walk in,
and to my horror,
i see me in bed,
laying still,
i laugh no more,
what's going on?
You walk till you're by my side,
"UP!",
i remain silent,
you start to cry,
how could this be,
why have i died,
i can't believe it,
it's all a lie,
this can't be real,
I'm still alive,
but it is true,
i did die,
how did this happen?
WHY WHY WHY?
I stand beside you,
you CRY CRY CRY!
I'm sorry i left you,
i don't want you to grieve,
because by your side,
I'll never leave!
