Numb

by StandStill   Apr 20, 2008

She's slipping under
reach for her hand
let her fill you with pain
that's what she demands

But oops- too late
she's already so gone
a beautiful sunset
but never a dawn

Two dimensional fog
screams air into her lungs
but she has nothing left to say
and her song goes unsung

Clean, cold silver
shoots through her veins
rise, live, fall
repeat again

Hollow words are written
they never mean a thing
a numness fills her body
no razor blade to sting

"I've become so numb i can't feel you there.."
